Responsibilities

 As a Senior Associate, Tom Heimer is responsible for commercial leasing, sales, new business development and property management.  At Gaughan Companies, Tom applies his experience developing successful strategy for investment-grade real estate to enhance the operating performance of office and industrial properties.

Strengths

 Prior to joining Gaughan Companies, Tom was a Regional Director for Atlanta-based Carter & Associates responsible for a 2 million sq. ft. multi-market portfolio, most notably Fifth Street Towers in downtown Minneapolis.  He has developed a broad range of skills over his 20 year career including strategic and tactical planning, leadership, sales and marketing, financial control and relationship management.  Tom adds value through implementation of institutional-grade best practices acquired during his tenure with world-wide industry leading companies. 

History of Success

 In 2009, Tom was instrumental in achieving the highest honor bestowed upon commercial real when Fifth Street Towers achieved “The Outstanding Building of the Year” (TOBY) award from the Building Owners and Managers Association (BOMA) International.  He has earned the Certified Property Manager (CPM) designation from the Institute of Real Estate Management (IREM) and the Real Property Administrator (RPA) designation from the Building Owner and Managers Institute (BOMI) International.  Tom has served on various committees for the Minnesota chapter of BOMA and been a member of IREM and The National Association of Industrial and Office Properties (NAIOP).
