Responsibilities

As Controller, Karen Carlson is responsible for the financial direction of Gaughan Companies. She works closely with the Commercial, Residential, Maintenance and Brokerage teams in order to implement sound financial solutions to Gaughan Companies vision. She is also responsible for the evaluation of each individual project's financial performance on a monthly basis and ensures that all reporting is accurate and timely. Karen also fills the Human Resources role. She maintains all employee files and ensures that all State and Federal regulations are adhered to.

Included in Karen's work ethic comes a strong attention to detail and dedication to Gaughan Companies. She maintains strict guide lines for accounting staff to follow in order to ensure accurate financial reporting while working closely with each department to ensure their success.

History of Success

Karen is a graduate of Bethel College with a history in Governmental, Cost and Private accounting. She, along with her husband of 34 years, has raised three children and now enjoy their grandchildren, fishing and traveling.
